Author Phil Coffin will discuss his book When Baseball Was Still Topps. Guided by the complete set of 1959 Topps baseball cards (all 572 of them), Phil shares stories of history and the personalities from mid-century baseball that made the game so memorable. The author will bring along realia and will have time for questions.
Take me out to the...Library! This September, the Toms River Branch will host four authors and experts, each with unique knowledge and experiences related to America’s favorite pastime. Presenters, their topics, and program registration are all separate from one another. Come to one, two, or three events—or make it a Grand Slam in the field of baseball history.
