Join us as Richard Dutton presents a live musical program and shares the history of roller organs and the development of American music from 1885 to 1925.
Before phonographs, roller organs were popular instruments that provided musical entertainment in homes and churches throughout America. This program will include a live musical presentation and a talk on the development of American music from the Civil War Era, through the Gay '90s, the Cakewalk and Ragtime Eras and into the beginning of the Jazz Age.
