Dive into Ancestry Library Edition to uncover your family's origins.
Have you ever wondered who your ancestors are? Do you perhaps have vague names, birth dates, or stories which have been passed down through generations but no knowledge of how to substantiate these claims? This class, led by the Local History Librarian, will introduce you to the rich world of genealogy through Ancestry Library Edition--one of the Ocean County Library's databases--and give you the tools necessary to navigate the past.
Learn the difference between basic and advanced searching, how to search for records such as draft cards, naturalization documents, photos of passenger ships, and much more! At the end of the class, you'll have the opportunity to tour the Hugh B. Wheeler Room, which is a treasure trove of genealogy resources.
This is an introductory class and is not part of a series.
