As we celebrate the 250th anniversary of America's founding, join local historian Jim Segrave-Daly for a lively discussion about the pivotal role that New Jersey & Toms River played.
New Jersey and Toms River were key players in forming the country that we know today! With more than 90 military engagements in the state during the Revolution, & the Huddy Affair locally, actions taken by Loyalists & Patriots contributed greatly to America's ultimate victory. Strategically located between British-controlled New York & the Continental capital of Philadelphia, New Jersey was critical to supplying both armies with support, materiel, & intelligence.
Jim (thelocalhistorygeek.com) has presented to libraries & civic organizations nationwide since 2009. He is an active member of the Radnor (PA) Historical Society, American Revolution Roundtable of Philadelphia, America250PADelco, Founding Forward, & a volunteer history teacher.
