Join us for this hands-on workshop, where participants will explore the art of mosaic through references from antiquity. 

We’ll discover the beauty and craftsmanship of the works found at Pompeii to inspire our own contemporary paper-based mosaics. Participants will experience how repetition, color, and placement slowly bring an image to life. With a little time and imagination, simple materials transform into richly layered compositions. No prerequisite skills are required—this workshop is designed to be welcoming, engaging, and rewarding for all. 

Jenny Santa Maria is a Teaching Artist and Art Coach who has taught creative programs across New England, following a decade in special education. She is passionate about empowering people through the arts by making creativity accessible and relevant, weaving art history into contemporary life while celebrating the joy, curiosity, and shared human experience of making.
