Alexander – Artist Bio
Alexander is a New York/New Jersey-based visual artist and actor, born in Flushing, Queens. With a B.A. in Communications and Media Arts and a minor in Theatre from SUNY New Paltz, his multidisciplinary background informs his expressive, nature-driven work. Entirely self-taught - Alexander draws deep inspiration from the sea—especially the Atlantic Ocean, which he often incorporates directly into his process by painting with purified ocean water.
Influenced by his Mediterranean heritage, he explores the beauty, power, and vulnerability of marine life. His artistic philosophy centers on empathy, ecology, and the interconnectedness of life—"ecosystem over egotism." In 2020, he founded Coastal Luck, a name that reflects his desire to spread the healing, grounding energy of the sea through his art.
Alexander’s work invites viewers to reflect, reconnect, and remember that where there is water, there is life—and with it, the hope for renewal.
