Celebrate Juneteenth by accessing historical databases and primary source materials to understand the collective memory of Emancipation. Staff will provide a guided introduction and exploration of historical documents and information to commemorate the emancipation of enslaved African-Americans.
Database access is provided by the Ocean County Library. Primary sources from the Library of Congress’s Born in Slavery: Slave Narratives from the Federal Writers' Project, 1936 to 1938 collection will also be viewed.
