The FBI says online scams raked in record $16.6 billion last year, up 33% from 2023 and "The vast majority of funds were lost when cryptocurrency was used, the FBI said, followed by wire transfers and credit or debit cards." Cybersecurity is about the safety of information--our identity, our personal data, and our financial assets--when we're online. This class will discuss how to recognize a secure website, creating strong passwords for your online accounts and tips to recognize online fraud and scams. DigitalLearn.org workshops and modules were created by the Public Library Association with support from AT&T. While supplies last, all who attend this class will be given a free 32GB flash drive at the end of the class.
