This presentation is designed to provide parents with a clear and practical understanding of what ABA is and how it can be used to support children and families. Registration required.
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a widely used, evidence-based approach for supporting learning, behavior, and independence—but it is also a field that is often misunderstood. This presentation is designed to provide parents with a clear and practical understanding of what ABA is and how it can be used to support children and families.
During this presentation, two Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) will provide an overview of ABA and explain how behavior science is applied in everyday, meaningful ways. The discussion will address common myths and misconceptions about ABA, clarify what ABA is and is not, and highlight how modern ABA prioritizes dignity, collaboration, and individualized support. Parents will learn about the wide range of skills ABA can be used to teach and support. The presenters will also discuss what families can expect when working with an ABA provider and how to identify high-quality, ethical services. Please register.
