Join us for a very special opportunity to learn about the incredible lives of John and Abigail Adams, portrayed by historical actors Peyton Dixon and Kim Hanley from the American Historical Theatre.
Our second President, and founding father, John Adams was an imperfect man, but always strove to do what he thought was right. Whether as a lawyer who defended British soldiers after the Boston Massacre or travelling abroad for years at a time as an American diplomat in search of aid in the Revolutionary War. John was continually supported by his best friend, Abigail Adams.
Abigail was not just John Adams' wife and mother to their six children; she was as educated, respected, and just as outspoken as her husband. In a very tumultuous time, John and Abigail Adams sacrificed much in a longing for democracy yet remained deeply in love with each other. They strove to build the United States of America as a democracy, truly equal to all, no matter gender or race, and instilled these values in their children, including our sixth President, John Quincy Adams.
