Join Expressive Arts Facilitator Rochelle Stern to create a tree with fairy lights for autumn using recycled books.
Use recycled books to create art you can hold, and contribute to a collaborative poem with fellow participants with your thoughts as you work, to create art you can feel. Honor the theme for Banned Books Week (September 22-28), “Freed Between the Lines,” with your creation.
Reflect upon fall by observing classic autumn pieces of art, which will in turn, aid us in creating a collaborative poetry piece. We will enjoy creating a fall tree complete with fairy lights. The book art is made from recycling discarded books. All materials included.
Facilitated by Rochelle L. Stern, Expressive Arts Facilitator. Sponsored by Jackson Friends of the Library.
