Experience Chinese opera with Ms. Yonghong Jia of Renaissance Chinese Opera Society
In honor of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month in May, we invite Ms. Yonghong Jia from Renaissance Chinese Opera Society. Ms. Jia is one of the most prominent Kun opera performers in the United States today. She has won many acting awards for her leading roles. In this program, Ms. Jia will reveal the secrets behind the scenes. In the first part of her presentation, she would discuss Beijing Opera, then she would demonstrate Chinese Opera makeup and the costumes. Following that, she would present a brief performance of the Beijing Opera. Please register.
