The “What Were You Wearing?” exhibit, hosted by St. Francis Counseling Services at St. Francis Community Center, will be on display in McConnell Gallery throughout the month of March. The exhibit is meant to honor survivors, and to further raise awareness regarding biases and stigmas that survivors so often experience. This art installation originated at the University of Arkansas in 2013. Created by Jen Brockman and Dr. Mary Wyandt-Hiebert, the project was originally inspired by Dr. Mary Simmerling’s poem, “What I Was Wearing.”
This exhibit is supported by the State of New Jersey Sexual Assault, Abuse and Rape Care (SAARC) Funds, administered by the Department of Children and Families.
