Adults with disabilities are entitled to receive Social Security and Medicaid. But did you know that you can supplement those funds by saving for your child now - without sacrificing their benefits?
Adults with disabilities are entitled to receive Social Security and Medicaid. But did you know that you can supplement those funds by saving for your child now – without sacrificing their government benefits? And that these special savings plans, called NJ ABLE accounts, can be opened for anyone whose disability began before the age of 46?
During this virtual (Zoom) program, Ursula Baker of the New Jersey Department of Human Services’ Division of Disability Services will explain the benefits of opening an NJ ABLE account. She will discuss the simple process of opening an account, the investment options that are available, and how friends and family members can contribute.
