This program traces hip hop’s origins from African oral traditions, rhythm, and communal storytelling to the birth of hip hop in the Bronx. Through interactive activities, participants explore how African cultural practices shaped the five pillars of hip hop and how these traditions continue to influence music, art, and resistance today.
