Little Egg Harbor Meeting RoomDiscover the timeless practice of Tai Chi in this engaging introductory class designed for adults of all ages and abilities.
Often described as "meditation in motion," Tai Chi combines gentle, flowing movements with mindful breathing and body awareness to promote greater health, balance, and well-being.
During this one-hour session, you'll be introduced to the basic principles and foundational skills of Tai Chi, including posture, breathing, relaxation, warm-up exercises, weight shifting, basic stances, and simple movement sequences. You'll also learn practical ways to incorporate Tai Chi principles into everyday life to help reduce stress, improve balance and coordination, increase strength and flexibility, sharpen mental focus, cultivate emotional well-being, and support healthy aging.
No previous experience is necessary. This class is suitable for beginners and may be practiced at your own pace. Please wear comfortable, non-restrictive clothing and flat-soled, flexible, non-skid shoes. Feel free to bring water and a journal if you would like to take notes. All participants must sign a waiver before the session begins.
