In honor of LGBTQ+ History Month, join the Lacey Library in learning about how zines became a staple mainstay of community building!

Zines, short for "fanzine" or "magazine," are small, self-published, DIY-friendly booklets. Zines and zine-making have long been staples in the LGBTQIA+ community, helping to share art, poetry, and stories, raise awareness, and foster communities both in the United States and abroad. In honor of LGBTQ+ History Month, participants can join the Lacey Branch to learn about the history of zines and zine-making in these communities, as well as create their own zines using supplies provided by the branch.
