MakerspaceCelebrate Hispanic Heritage Month as we paint patterns on 3D printed alebrijes and sip on mocktails. Supplies and beverages will be provided. Potential allergens. Limit of 1 session.
Learn about the fascinating history of alebrijes, or vibrant papier-mâché or wood sculptures of mythological, chimera-like creatures. Dating back to the 1930s, alebrijes have since become an iconic form of contemporary Mexican folk art by bridging indigenous traditions with surreal, modern artistry. In tribute to blending tradition with modern artistic expression, our alebrijes have been created with 3D printing technology and await your unique flair!
