Join us for a family art workshop at the Little Egg Harbor Library! Work with professional artists and try something new at this hands-on outdoor event.

Get ready to get creative! We are thrilled to invite you and your family to a hands-on indoor community art workshop at the Little Egg Harbor Library. This isn't just an art show, it’s your chance to step into the world of professional artists and try your hand at something new.

Welcome to Passport to the Arts, a high-energy, interactive community event where instead of just looking at art, you get to experience it hands-on!

From martial arts and pro wrestling choreography to watercolor pencils and digital illustration, you'll travel from station to station, interacting directly with local artists, makers, and performers. Roll up your sleeves, ask questions, experiment with tools, and create your own mini-masterpieces!

Interactive Exploration Stations:

  • Tony & Francesca Chini | Pro Wrestling Artistry Discover the athletic performance and storytelling choreography that happens behind the scenes of professional wrestling. Plus, get your face painted like a wrestling superstar!
  • Oak Leaf Media | Film Production Step behind the camera to find out how creative ideas turn into cinematic reality. 
  • Premier Picnics & Parties | Pallet Painting Experience the tactile joy of wood painting. Learn how to mix colors and apply finishes to create beautiful, rustic art pieces meant to hang in your home.
  • Finny Inks Shop | Digital Arts & Pencil Drawing Bridge the gap between traditional and modern mediums. Dive into pencil sketching techniques and see how they transition into the cutting-edge world of digital illustration.
  • Local Artist: Greg | Watercolor Pencils & Community Art Experiment with the blending power of watercolor pencils. Help create a collaborative community art piece featuring the library's beloved dragon mascot, Sparks!
  • Local Artist: Rose | The Art of Crochet Tired of getting your yarn tangled? Let Rose show you the calming, rhythmic basics of crochet and learn how a single string turns into intricate fabrics.
  • Ms. Kristen | Mystery Project! Put on your thinking cap! Stop by Ms. Kristen’s surprise art station, guess what unique materials she has waiting for you, and try your hand at her mystery project.
  • Local Artist: Ray | Traditional Origami Master the geometric, meditative art of Japanese paper folding. Turn flat, simple sheets of paper into beautiful 3D shapes, cranes, and animals.
  • Gold Hawk Tae Kwon Do | Martial Arts Performance Discover how focus, balance, and physical discipline combine into a beautiful form of kinetic performance art. Try out some traditional movements yourself!
  • Library Friends | Mini Vision Boards Create your own, unique collage that represents YOU!
