Learn about Project Terrapin and how this volunteer-based organization promotes diamondback terrapin research, education, and conservation throughout Barnegat Bay. Please register.

Project Terrapin is a research, conservation and education initiative that works with a local turtle species, diamondback terrapins, throughout  Barnegat Bay.  They have been working with terrapins the past twenty five years and support several programs throughout Long Beach Island and Island Beach State Park.  Project Terrapin includes student volunteers from the Marine Academy of Technology and Environmental Science (MATES) who assist with numerous conservation and education outreach activities.  Project Terrapin will share their knowledge and share ways that everyone can get involved in conservation actions.
