As we celebrate America's 250th birthday, join local historian Jim Segrave-Daly for a lively discussion of a pivotal period during the Revolution. General George Washington led the Continental Army to stunning victories in late December 1776 & early January 1777. Beginning with the reading of Thomas Paine's The American Crisis on Christmas Eve, Washington inspired his troops & the nation when it was needed most.
Jim (thelocalhistorygeek.com) has presented to libraries & civic organizations nationwide over the past 15 years. He is an active member of the Radnor Historical Society, the PA Society of the Sons of the Revolution, the American Revolution Roundtable of Philadelphia, America250PADelco & Founding Forward, as well as a volunteer history teacher.
