Jackson Pines is a Billboard and PBS acclaimed band that plays original and traditional folk music from the Pine Barrens of NJ. Using fiddle, mandolin, standup bass, and guitar, they weave stories of the past and present with their wooden string instruments. Favorites at the New Jersey and Philadelphia Folk Festivals, the boys are known for their live performances and storytelling. This winter they released their new album Wheel featuring 11 new original songs. Their previous record Pine Barrens Volume Two was named the 2024 Album of the Year by The Aquarian Magazine and NJ State. At this concert, Jackson Pines will play brand new and very old songs, including the centuries old "Mt. Holly Jail" as well as selected ballads from the Herbert Halpert Pine Barrens field recordings of the 1930's, made in Lakehurst, Jackson, New Egypt, and beyond.
