Author Ronald Negra and his wife, Valerie, will discuss the creation of the book that tells the inspiring true story of his mother Agnes' dedication to our country during WWII. Please register.
During World War II, using her shortwave radio in her home in Nutley, New Jersey, Agnes listened to Radio Berlin each night hoping to hear news of her husband who was wounded in the Rhineland campaign in 1944. She noted the names of U.S. Prisoners of War as they were announced by the German army on her radio. Agnes then wrote to the soldiers' families, often bringing the only news of the fate of these soldiers to their grateful families. Agnes's son, Ronald Negra, wrote the book Waves of Hope to share and honor his mother's incredible story.
