Doors open at 6:30 for mingling.
Bill Pitts is a Senior Zoologist with NJ DEP Fish & Wildlife’s Endangered & Nongame Species Program. He has been with the program since 2005, and manages several projects across various species groups including, eastern tiger salamanders, migratory shorebirds, and American kestrels.
The kestrel presentation provides natural history information about the species, as well as discussion about its status in NJ, reasons for population decline, and findings from various research projects. The presentation also illustrates the importance of collaboration and how the scope of the project has expanded by growing public and private partnerships.
