Various ancient art forms of Asian cultures will be discussed including the origin and function of the fan, one stroke painting and sumi-e. 

Paint and construct a traditional folded Chinese/Japanese Fan.  Various ancient art forms of Asian cultures will be discussed including the origin and function of the fan, one stroke painting and sumi-e.  Participants will write a haiku poem based on their fan design.  This program is approximately 2 hours and is presented by Terry Krupinski.
