In honor of Women’s History Month, join Monmouth University Professor and former U.S. Army Fort Monmouth Command Historian, Melissa Ziobro, for a talk on how the U.S. Army Signal Corps employed women as telephone switchboard operators during World War I. Learn how New Jersey native Chief Operator, Grace Banker, and other “Hello Girls” played a vital role in getting messages through onto the battlefields. Discover how these women fought for veteran status and why they were recently awarded the Congressional Gold Medal. Please register.
