Learn how to apply a tourniquet and first aid.
The Stop the Bleed program teaches people basic skills to stop bleeding until medical help arrives. Someone with a severe bleeding injury can bleed to death in 5 minutes. Help from a bystander can save a life. Minutes, even seconds count, particularly when there is substantial bleeding. Stop the Bleed is a nationwide training campaign to teach bystanders life-saving techniques such as how to apply a pressure bandage and use a tourniquet. Presented by a Hackensack Meridian registered nurse. Please register each attendee separately.
