Unmasking ADHD
Whether it's a child struggling to follow a three-part set of instructions or an adult overwhelmed by a mounting to-do list, ADHD often feels like a constant hum of mental static.

Brick Branch
Brick Meeting RoomWhether it's a child struggling to follow a three-part set of instructions or an adult overwhelmed by a mounting to-do list, ADHD often feels like a constant hum of mental static.
While Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder is often dismissed as a behavioral issue, it is a complex neurological reality that affects focus, emotions, and energy levels across all stages of life. Join us for an inclusive community lecture designed for adults navigating their own neurodiversity and parents seeking deeper insight into their child’s world. We will move beyond the surface-level symptoms to explore how ADHD manifests from the playground to the office, and how "masking" (when an individual with ADHD tries acting in a socially acceptable way) impacts mental health for both children and adults.
This program is presented by staff from the behavioral health division of Hackensack Meridian Health.
