Learn about Aphasia, a language disorder caused by brain injury. Presented by the Adler Aphasia Center.

Aphasia is a language disorder that can be caused by a brain injury such as a stroke, brain tumor, accident, or brain disease. Although it can affect one's ability to speak, read, and write, aphasia alone does not affect one's intellect. In this presentation, we will provide:

  • A comparison of dementia and aphasia
  • Tips for communicating with someone with aphasia
  • Information on programs and services offered through the Adler Aphasia Center

Presentation offered by the Adler Aphasia Center. Presentation is offered in partnership with the Point Pleasant Beach Borough's Mayor's Wellness Campaign.
