The “Twelve Tenacious Invasives” video represents the results of simply looking around one’s town to see the preponderance of invasive species plants.  The plants highlighted just happen to be ones that are problematic to many other areas in New Jersey’s Coastal Plain and elsewhere. The project, funded by a grant from the Association of New Jersey Environmental Commissions, has struck a chord around the state with many live and virtual showings followed by Q & A sessions. Given that there are hundreds of such plants, “Twelve Tenacious Invasives” attempts to start conversations about a problem that largely goes unnoticed. Once this discussion has begun, it is easier to make the connection with the value of native plants and organisms.
