Project SEARCH is a daily, 10-month internship program for people with developmental disabilities.
Open to individuals who are in their last year of high school or in early adulthood (up to age 35), the program targets those who wish to seek competitive employment. It consists of classroom instruction, career exploration, and worksite rotations at Monmouth Medical Center (in Long Branch) or Community Medical Center (in Toms River).
Phillip Duck, Director of Employability at Family Resource Associates, will provide an overview of Project SEARCH - including eligibility, the application process, and a description of an intern's workday. Attend this workshop to learn whether participation in Project SEARCH may provide the appropriate transition to the workforce for your loved one.
