This lecture will address how grief can present in adolescence vs. in adulthood, and how it may be mistaken for depression. We will discuss the important role of development, social pressures, and coping mechanisms that shape how adolescents grieve. We hope to educate and provide practical interventions that can support adolescents who are navigating depression in a time of bereavement.
