Aphasia is a language disorder that can be caused by a brain injury such as a stroke, brain tumor, accident, or brain disease. Although it can affect one's ability to speak, read, and write, aphasia alone does not affect one's intellect. In this presentation, we will provide:
- A comparison of dementia and aphasia
- Tips for communicating with someone with aphasia
- Information on programs and services offered through the Adler Aphasia Center
