Pine Shores Presents: Edouard Manet: Impressionist or Not?

Professor Kate Ogden from Stockton University will present a Powerpoint talk about the famous French painter Edouard Manet, his life and work. Light refreshments available from 6:30 to 7pm.

Manet began as a realist, painting large canvases likeOlympia and Le Dejeuner sur l'herbe that shocked the public. A friend of Monet and other members of the Impressionist group, his later work was greatly influenced by their interest in light, color, and scenes of leisure. The program is presented by Pine Shores Art Association. This Pine Shores Art History Lecture will have light refreshments available from 6:30 to 7pm.
