Come meet the shellfish ?babies? that RCTB grows in its on-land nurseries (upwellers). Families are invited to touch the live animals and learn why they are vital to keeping the Bay healthy.
Shellfish living in the Bay allow all of us to enjoy this amazing resource. ReClam the Bay, a 501c3 non-profit organization, will celebrate its 20th Anniversary of restoring the hardworking clams, oysters, and bay scalloppopulations in the Bay. These filter feeder animals add to the Bay’s resiliency. To date, RCTB has raised and placed more than 13 million shellfish in Barnegat Bay.
Come meet the shellfish “babies” that RCTB grows in its on-land nurseries (upwellers). Families are invited to touch the live animals and learn why they are vital to keeping the Bay healthy so we can continue to swim, fish, crab, clam, and boat in our beautiful, healthy bay!
